What is RoDTEP?
RoDTEP refunds central, state and local taxes built into the cost of exported goods that are not refunded any other way, such as fuel duties and electricity charges. Rates are notified per tariff line.
The claim is made in the shipping bill, and the benefit is credited as transferable duty credit scrips in the exporter's ICEGATE ledger, which can be used to pay import duty or sold.
