What is Let Export Order (LEO)?

Once Customs is satisfied with the shipping bill and any examination, it grants the Let Export Order. Only then can the container be loaded on the vessel.

The LEO date is treated as the date of export for many purposes, including the exchange rate and the incentive rates that apply to the shipment.
