What is APEDA?
APEDA promotes exports of scheduled agricultural and processed food products, such as basmati rice, fruit and vegetables, processed foods and meat. Exporters of these products register with APEDA and receive an RCMC.
On India–USA shipments
Food shipments to the US also need FDA requirements met on the US side, including prior notice and a registered food facility.
