What is Delivered Duty Paid (DDP)?
DDP puts the most on the seller: freight, insurance, customs clearance and duties in the destination country. For a US shipment the seller must act as importer of record or arrange one, with a US customs bond.
On India–USA shipments
An Indian exporter quoting DDP to a US buyer carries the US duty risk, including any AD/CVD and changes in tariffs between quoting and arrival.
