US trade remedy · Chemicals and Allied Industries
Imports of commodity matchbooks from India into the US are subject to an antidumping duty order (A-533-848) and a countervailing duty order (C-533-849). The US importer pays a cash deposit at entry, at the rate set for the Indian producer and exporter.
The orders
The all-others rate applies to Indian producers and exporters without their own rate. It is the rate printed when the order was issued; later administrative reviews set new, company-specific rates.

The US importer of record. It pays a cash deposit at the AD/CVD rate when the goods enter the US, and the final amount is settled when Commerce completes its review. In practice the duty shapes the price the US buyer can pay, so it matters to the Indian exporter too.
Orders are reviewed every five years in a "sunset review". The next one for commodity matchbooks from India is due to start in May 2031. Until an order is revoked, it stays in force.
