US trade remedy · Textiles
Imports of fine denier polyester staple fiber from India into the US are subject to an antidumping duty order (A-533-875) and a countervailing duty order (C-533-876). The US importer pays a cash deposit at entry, at the rate set for the Indian producer and exporter.
The orders
The all-others rate applies to Indian producers and exporters without their own rate. It is the rate printed when the order was issued; later administrative reviews set new, company-specific rates.
| Type | Case number | Order date | All-others rate at order | Next sunset |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Antidumping (AD) | A-533-875 | 20 Jul 2018 | 21.43% (cash deposit 14.67%) | 1 Mar 2029 |
| Countervailing (CVD) | C-533-876 | 16 Mar 2018 | See the order notice | 1 Mar 2029 |

The US importer of record. It pays a cash deposit at the AD/CVD rate when the goods enter the US, and the final amount is settled when Commerce completes its review. In practice the duty shapes the price the US buyer can pay, so it matters to the Indian exporter too.
Orders are reviewed every five years in a "sunset review". The next one for fine denier polyester staple fiber from India is due to start in Mar 2029. Until an order is revoked, it stays in force.
